Anti-dumping duties on Chinese and Thai imports of external tires for buses and trucks

Nevin Jameh, Minister of Trade and Industry, issued a decision to impose final anti-dumping duties on Egyptian imports of the type of pneumatic external tires used in buses (buses) and trucks, except for light trucks (semi-trucks) exported from or of origin from China and Thailand, provided that this decision shall be enforced for a period of time. 5 years from the date of its publication in the Egyptian Journal.

Ibrahim Al-Sejini, Assistant Minister for Economic Affairs and Head of the Commercial Processes Sector at the Ministry said that the decision was based on the recommendation of the specialized advisory committee and the recommendations reached by the sector after studying the complaint of the local industry and after the approval of the Minister of Trade and Industry during October of 2019 to start investigation procedures against dumped imports. Of these varieties are from China, India, Indonesia and Thailand
